A SUPER FUN WEDDING ALONG NOVA SCOTIA'S SOUTH SHORE

According to the inscription on the lighter that I received as payment, the first wedding I photographed was on June 4th, 1988. It was for a coworker when I was employed as a security guard while attending NSCAD part time. After NSCAD and two years at Humber College I spent the next 10 years doing food photography and, of course, the occasional wedding - charging a bit more than the the price of a lighter ;)

This year marks my 20th year as a full time wedding photographer. At this rate, I am on track to be a 60-year-old wedding photographer using 30-year-old jokes on 20-year-old couples. As a side note, "more cowbell" still holds up!..lol   Couples like Andre and Bec are the reason I continue to love being a wedding photographer even with my commercial work getting busier every year!

Last summer with ever-changing Covid shut-downs I felt like a plane sitting in a holding pattern just waiting to take off! When Andre and Bec decided to roll with the restrictions in place I was super excited! This wedding was also the first wedding I have documented in the last couple of years without Pam, due to the limited capacity of the boat reception. Oh, yeah, did I mention it was on a boat?  Talk about a wedding made for me :)
