EARTH DAY 2020 - NOVA SCOTIA ENVIRONMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY - NOVA SCOTIA PHOTOGRAPHER

Apr 22, 2020 | By: Dave Reyno

2020 is certainly not starting out like any of us had expected! Personally, I started the year by joining the gym, purchasing a new camera, and was looking forward to the busiest Spring to date with my photography business.

With the arrival of Covid-19 my gym workout went back to my home gym and I have had little opportunity to use my new camera as every Spring project has been either postponed or cancelled.

With the local tragic shooting events of this past weekend, feelings have elevated from frustration to devastation for a lot of Nova Scotians, including myself. One of the ways that help to rejuvenate my soul is to get into nature and connect myself with the planet. Often this is as simple as sitting in our wooded backyard with one of my fur babies or going for a walk in the woods with my lovely wife Pam.

Maybe one of favourite things to do is go back to my roots as a landscape/nature photographer and capture a moment in time. On this Earth Day I have decided to look back at some wonderful memories made here in Nova Scotia. With any luck Earth Day 2021 will allow for a camping trip into the woods to make some new images.

To all those affected by recent events I'd like to send out a big hug! Like our planet, I know in my heart that we will heal together with the passage of time.
